Animal Care Systems Ergomice offers a compact and ergonomic system that includes all the features and advantages of the Optimice system. Ergomice is a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to the Optimice cage and is available in configurations with capacities of 50, 70, or 80 cages. The 70-cage model eliminates the bottom three levels to minimize the need for bending during access, while the 80-cage model is built at a greater height to accommodate shorter personnel. The 50-cage model combines both of these ergonomic features. Ergomice racks use standard Optimice cages and accessories, available in polycarbonate or two types of polysulfone plastics. While the 80-cage configuration offers the same watering options as Optimice, the 50- and 70-cage models are not compatible with automatic watering systems; bottle-based and other individual cage watering options are available.
