The MDF-U731M -30ºC Laboratory Pro Upright Freezer features direct cooling with a full cold wall design. Evaporator tubes that remove heat from the inside of the cabinet are located on the back, side, top and bottom walls of the freezer to ensure even temperatures throughout. To further optimize temperature uniformity, the tubes are strategically placed closer together towards the top of the freezer. This creates natural convection of the air inside the freezer as the colder air drops to the bottom, ensuring an even temperature distribution throughout the large chamber. The absence of “hot” or “cold spots”, typically found in “domestic” freezers, ensures that all samples are stored at the desired temperature. Cold wall technology also provides rapid temperature recovery after the door is opened, ensuring maximum sample preservation. Since the MDF-U731M does not have an automatic defrost cycle, the inner chamber offers exceptional temperature stability without short-term temperature increases. Manual defrosting is often useful in applications where very constant and stable temperatures are required, such as in stringent GMP applications or when storing temperature-sensitive samples.
