Telstar BiOptima Series

Telstar BiOptima Series

• Low power consumption and low noise level • Safety standards • The BiOptima series is designed and manufactured according to several international biosafety standards, including EN12469: Class II, NSF49: Class II Type A2, and JIS K 3800: Class II Type A2. The work area is classified as ISO 14644: Class 3 and GMP Annex 1: Class A. • Maximum protection for the operator, the product and the environment • The most important feature of a Biosafety Cabinet is its containment capability, together with good contamination prevention and the ability to be cleaned easily and thoroughly. The BiOptima series is designed to always offer maximum safety: • Laminar flow is monitored by two-speed sensors that ensure constant airflow over the entire work surface thanks to filter clogging compensation technology. • The cabinet is equipped with independent alarm systems that provide visual and acoustic warnings in the event of any deviation. • Glass side panels maximize lighting in the work area, improve user comfort, and provide an ideal solution when cabinets are installed side by side. BiOptima is equipped with a full-size G3 pre-filter under the work surface, which extends HEPA filter life and prevents fan damage caused by debris (pipette tips, aluminum foil) entering the technical area. • User-friendly and easy-to-read control panel • BiOptima features a comprehensive display that allows quick and easy viewing of safety parameters. A green light indicates a safe working mode and is always clearly visible. Filter clogging and real-time clock are among the many pieces of information provided by the control panel. • Comfort and ease of use • The BiOptima series is designed with the user in mind to make work comfortable by preventing fatigue and promoting a safe working posture: • The 7° sloped front window provides the operator with a comfortable and ergonomic posture. • The front window opening mechanism provides full and comfortable access to the work chamber (best in its class), making it possible to introduce large objects and accessories into the work chamber. Cleaning can also be carried out easily. • To maximize visibility, the control panel is tilted toward the operator. • BiOptima is extremely quiet, with a noise level as low as 58 dB.

Telstar Bio II Advance Plus Series

• Low power consumption and low noise level • User-friendly control panel • Certified safety: EN 12469 • Maximum protection for the operator, the product and the environment • The Bio II Advance Plus series is designed to always offer maximum safety: • Laminar flow is monitored by a velocity sensor that ensures constant airflow over the entire work surface thanks to filter clogging compensation technology. • The cabinet is equipped with independent alarm systems that provide visual and acoustic warnings in the event of any deviation. • The silicone window gasket hermetically seals the work chamber and provides optimum protection for both the operator and the product. • In the working position, the gasket prevents environmental particles from entering the work chamber, thus reducing potential contamination of samples and keeping the inside of the glass clean. • Rounded edges inside the cabinet facilitate disinfection and maximize contamination avoidance. • The work surface is divided into sections, allowing cleaning and even sterilization in an autoclave if necessary. • Dual-safe, user-friendly and easy-to-read control panel • Bio II Advance Plus features a user-friendly color display that allows quick and easy viewing of safety parameters. The visual display shows the filter clogging level, which is extremely useful for optimizing service calls. The display also shows the laminar airflow velocity to easily check the cabinet status at all times. • The Bio II Advance Plus series is designed to keep the operator comfortable by avoiding fatigue and promoting a safe working posture: • The 10° sloped front window allows the operator to adopt a comfortable and ergonomic posture. • The front window allows full access to the work chamber, making cleaning easy and enabling large objects and accessories to be introduced into the work chamber. • To maximize visibility, the control panel is tilted toward the operator.

Description

Advanced Protection with Class II Biosafety Cabinets

Protecting personnel, products, and the environment in laboratories is of critical importance. Especially when working with hazardous microorganisms or materials that carry a risk of contamination, choosing the right equipment plays a vital role. This is where Class II Biosafety Cabinets come into play.

Class II Biosafety Cabinets are designed to provide a safe and sterile working environment in many fields such as microbiology, virology, cell culture, and genetic engineering.

Operating Principle of Class II Biosafety Cabinets

These cabinets filter the air through high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, protecting the product inside the working area from the external environment, and protecting laboratory personnel outside from the materials handled inside.

At the same time, they prevent potentially contaminated aerosols from spreading into the laboratory environment, thereby ensuring environmental protection. Thanks to these features, Class II cabinets provide simultaneous protection for personnel, products, and the environment.

Class II Cabinet Types and Areas of Application

Class II Biosafety Cabinets are divided into different models: Type A1, A2, B1, and B2. Each type has distinct airflow dynamics and exhaust systems, which vary according to the application area and safety requirements.

When routine laboratory work, experiments involving biological risks, or applications requiring a high level of safety are involved, selecting the correct Class II cabinet type is of great importance for occupational safety and the accuracy of experimental results.

Choosing the Right Class II Biosafety Cabinet

By selecting the Class II Biosafety Cabinet that best fits your laboratory’s needs, you can ensure both safety and efficiency at the same time.

Our expert team is ready to support you in determining the most suitable cabinet type based on your application area and working conditions, and in providing the ideal solution for your laboratory.
